Streching from the north out of the mountains to the south to the flood plains is a mighty river. It's volume is dependant on what time of year it is. Right now, at the peak of the wet season, the river to is at the peak.
The prey that's abundant here are the large species of turtles, and fish that thrive in the fast flowing water. Crocodiles too are also present too here, so beware. The shore provides great opportunities for scavenging eggs and other animals that have washed up.
Herbivores have it made here too with all the vegitation growing by the side of the river and nearby.
There is another danger however that isn't readily seen. During the wet season, during a heavy rain, if you're too near the river, you run the risk of being carried away by the flash floods that plague the area during that time of year.
(OOC: Note that flashfloods and crocodiles have a low probability have happening. If they do happen, it'll be a random even, which won't happen too often. If it does, just react to it in a few sentances and there ya go.)
