The delta encompasses several miles. The water flows very slowly, allowing small fish, mollusks, crustaceans, and other aquatic animals to take refuge in it's waters.
The water here is only a few feet deep. Allowing small animals to go out into the waters to feed and cross between tiny parcles of land.
There are plants growing in the water, great for a small herbivore. Also plants growing along the shores of the rivers.
During storm season, the water level can rise dramtically wreaking havoc on the local habit.
(OOC: Hurricanes are very few and far between.)
