Welcome everybody. This is the mesozoicworld forum games. It's a dinosaur forum based role playing game. There are some rules I do want to go over before everybody gets turned lose.
Respect everyone, regardless of their status, they have to do the same to you.
ONE ACCOUNT ONLY. We can't have people multi-accounting which will get all confusing and such.
When it comes to role-playing with another player, ABSOLUTELY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE WILL THERE BY ANY God-moding, powermoding or anything of the such. I don't like it.
Have fun. You joined this site to have fun (at least I hope no one coerced you into it lol) and I'm not gonna be too much of a stickler, nor will I choose people that are overly strict. So have fun.
Please keep it Pg-13 and under. Yes, dinosaurs did mate, but there will be a time and a place for that, but do it in a not so graphic manner. Also, no homosexual or bi-sexual role-plays either. I don't really care what goes on in your bedroom, but in nature, that stuff doesn't happen all too often. As a matter of fact if it happens on this site the participants will be either warned or banned. So yea.
Aside from being able to talk on a MINIMAL basis, these dinosaurs have no other special magic powers. They can't cast spells or breath fire.
They're also not "big for their size". I'm a bit of a dinosaur nerd, and stay on top of most any new information regarding the subject. I can assure you that all of the information is the most up-to-date I can find.
When role-playing, please keep it realistic. And if you need help deciding what is realistic, just use common sense. And if you don't think that you're judgement is correct, then feel free to ask someone. I for one would be more than happy to answer.
This site is a work in progress, so expect it to develope even as you play. Although I will try my hardest to try and keep the site open while making these changes.
If you have anything else you're wondering about, just ask. Thanks for reading and have loads of fun here.
Each player will start out with 500 hit points. If you go so long without eating you will lose so many hit points. If you catch a meal, you'll get those hit points restored. Also, for predators, fighting with prey species, even if they are npc's, they can deal damage to your hit points. There will be a place for you to keep track of your hit points, so don't worry.
To those of you who chose to be of the raptor family, you can make an npc pack. Now for a dinosaur from the triassic, you'll be on your own, but you'll be scavenging and hunting lizards, so there won't be a need for a pack.
The different areas in the sub-forums are just for reference. DO NOT POST THERE. They're really just for a description of the area you're in so you can make an in character post. These areas include "Oasis", River", "Lake", "Plains". Do not post in these places.
Also, when role playing, just because there's only fish, amphibians, mammals, etc, listed, doesn't mean you can't prey on an npc dinosaur if your role-playing as a carnivore. You just have to role play it really well. I probably won't approve a single deinonychus killing an edmontosaurus within just a few sentences, so make it good.
